The Giver

Fire Fall Down!!!! The Lord has been amazing as always. He as answered prayer, put individuals on my heart and He has showed me His Kingdom. I pray that God would consume me with Fire and make me pure and clean inside. My childhood has left many scars but with the help and the love of the Lord I can overcome. I am so excited about God and His Kingdom. Today, I went to a charismatic church and a lady stood up and made a reference about someone in the room who had a tough childhood, that God wanted to heal. It was so encouraging to have some prophesied about me. I am so excited, I am all over the place in this bog but it is the Joy of the Lord. To continue towards the end of the church service the Pastor had me and some other people from Urban Youth stand on stage and be prayed for and anointed with oil. It was beautiful, my joy was expressed with tears. I was simply overcome by the Holy Spirit. Earlier this week I prayed with a friend that the people who live in inner city West Palm would be blessed with food because many of them are not able to go to the grocery store due to placement or financial constraints. God answered our prayer the church we visited provided over 100 bags of groceries for us to hand out to the community. When I saw this I look up towards the sky and tears begin to poor because the Lord had given again. After church we took some of the food to houses in the area and the expression on these people faces where profound. God provided food to them and most of them don't even know. I watch the kids as they jumped up and down because they were thankful that they would have food on the table. I have fallen in love with this place and the people down here. I yearn for to experience the love God has to offer to them I pray that they would know that He is the bread and water. I also pray that they would see the need for spiritual fulfilment. Please continue to pray for the families in the inner city. Pray that they would experience peace, Justice but most of all the overflowing love of God. Pray that we would continue to have a servants heart. May God defend the cause of the poor of the people, givedeliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor (Psalms 72:4)

"A Yellow Raft in Blue Water"

Wow!!!!! I am sooo excited to be part of Christ's plan. To explain this title I've chosen. I often feel like I am in a yellow raft in blue water, that is, the water is rough and harsh but the raft protects us we are not alone. God has been teaching me a lot in regards to his Kingdom or purpose. Yesterday me and a couple of people decided to go out to city place (a big shopping, and clubbing facility) to share the gospel. Before we did this we decided to spend two hours praying, asking for God to provide wisdom and knowledge in regards to the people we were suppose to talk to and He answered He told us specific names and showed us people in visions. He even told us where we were suppose to go based on a vision He had given me which was confirmed by another person. It is so cool that God has graced me with the gift of prophecy. Before I explain this you have to understand that I have been in West Palm for a week and went to city place only once so when God showed this building with 3 pictures, a desk inside, a door, and with a long hall. I explained this and no idea what I was talking about and this guy was like I saw a building to with pictures also. It was so awesome because people knew the exact building I was talking about and the cooler thing is that God gave us specific people we were suppose to talk to. To drop some names he told someone to look for a girl named Ashley with a white skit and long black hair and a white guy with a Hoodie with an Asian girl, in which we found both. It was cool how God used us that night. There is something God has been putting on my heart in regard to "salvation" many of us have heard that we need to pray this prayer and ask for forgiveness but a lot of us fail to realize or understand what we are asking for. I know a lot of people who say they are "Christian" but do not live like it. We often hear that we don't have to do anything to be saved just believe in Christ. I believe that salvation is not based upon our own works and I also believe that it is not just praying this prayer. A lot of people do not understand what they are saying when they are praying So is God going to save these people? I don't think so some people pray the prayer but they want to hold on to your life. It says in the scriptures If you lose your life you will find it but if you preserve your life you will lose it. I want to challenge a lot of you to question your salvation ask yourselves if you have given your life to God and you are being used for his works. This is what James is talking about when He says a faith without work is dead (James 2). He is not talking about works on our own accord but works to promote the Kingdom of God, that is, works inspired by God and come as a result of the Holy Spirit. If you are not willing to give up your life God is not going to make you. I want to encourage you all to seek first His Kingdom and understand what he is asking of you when He ask you follow Him. People need to be challenge and God has been challenging me about this, that is, to share with others.
God bless you all :)

"War and Peace"

So I had an amazing day today. God is amazing! Chris, and I and this Kid Jimmy went shearing the gospel with the people of the inner city community of West Palm. Man God was working in us we talked to drug dealers people who were high and people who straight rejected Jesus because he inst "black". I tell you guys it is a battle everyday, that is, a spiritual battle. I was scared to talk these people because they were in a different environment than me. There was this fear that I would get shot or yelled at but God protected me and open my eyes to their hurt. I mean, I have peace because I know Jesus died for my sin and my hope is not in this world but in Him who save me. These people are still at war with their inner demons and the demons of this world. I pray that God will open their eyes to their iniquities and sins and I pray that they experience Psalm 34:8.

God bless you all!!!

"Crime and Punishment"

Today was an interesting day filled with eye opening experiences and truth revolving the community of West Palm. Today was the designated day for Chris and I to have staff training. What I didn't know was that I would be taking a tour of inner city West Palm, visiting the neighboring community that the kids come from. When most of us think of West Palm we envision luxury homes, beaches, and a image that caters to the rich, but what a lot of people fail to see is the injustice done to reach that image. We drove around in what has been termed "the projects"and I learned about the history of the people affect by this rise in image, that is, the abuse and discrimination these people faced to make West Palm what it is today. I leaned that people lost their homes to arson (done by the city), murders, drugs( city officials have a hand in), and the lack of concern of the police for the people. What it all comes down to is the fact that a lot of black people are forced to live in the slums and if they don't have a life their you will most likely find them behind bars. I pray that your eyes be open to the injustice in the world around you because it makes this world even less attractive. I also pray that you have compassion to step outside and make a change with the God given gifts that were loaned to you.
God bless you all keep Chris and I in your prayers

"A Day Late and A Dollar Short"

I think I will use titles from novels to describe my embedded emotion or current situation. Anyway.....
So Chris and I arrived to West Palm around 6:30 P.m. yesterday evening. We had to go pick up forms from the Urban Youth Impact office stating that we needed Finger prints and uniforms (why didn't anyone tell me this?). Therefore our mission today is to get Finger Prints and the suggested clothing. Oh it was Chris B-day 3 days ago so be sure to say happy Birthday.
I hope you are all having the time of your life ttyl :)
Please keep us both in your prayers.
